What’s my biggest advice when it comes to training?
STRENGTH TRAIN
Sure some cardiovascular fitness is important too, but honestly most cardiovascular fitness is better performed when a body is first strong & moving correctly. Strength training has to many health benefits to list but here are the ones I consider the most awesome.
- Enhances mood, reduces stress
- Reduces risk of injury, back pain etc
- Improves body composition – improved fat loss with the increased lean muscle.
- Improved athletic performance
- Improved self confidence
Women are coming to me week after week asking me to teach them more about strength training & I love it, finally women’s minds are shifting towards realising the importance, benefits & amazing results they can get from strength training. I couldn’t be a bigger advocate for women lifting weights & getting stronger not only in the gym but mentally & emotionally.
It’s amazing to watch the transformation of my clients who stick out a strength training program, it transforms their whole life’s & the bonus is it transforms their bodies too.
If you are hesitating starting strength training DON’T ladies, I don’t know anyone yet who’s regretted taking up this training style. If you don’t know where to start get a coach, it’s the best way to learn.
